Tasty Treats
How it all started.
In 2009, Sarah found it challenging to buy baby food that was both rich in nutrients and free from dyes or preservatives. She spent months researching the ingredients used to make baby food, as well as bakery items, such as bread.
What she found at her local grocery store was far from fresh.
Canned food is pasteurized (cooked at extra-high heat), which boils away natural vitamins and minerals. Then, a chemical version of those same vitamins and minerals is added back in, as a chemical form, along with sodium and preservatives,
This process is used in commercial kitchens, your local grocery store bakery, and manufacturing plants. The preservatives and other additives keep food looking “fresh” while it sits on a shelf for up to 3 years.
With Sarah’s newfound love for all things homemade, her recipe book extended beyond baby food into baked goods and desserts.
This expansion led to the formation of the Etiwanda Ranch, which offers a wide range of foods and desserts made with fresh ingredients, without additional preservatives or dyes.
Under the umbrella of the Ranch is Tasty Treats, a local micro-bakery making everything from Capples (caramel apples), cinnamon rolls, catered dessert bars, custom cakes, and so much more.
Additionally, there is the Crafty Corner. Your local DIY project headquarters for custom-made cake toppers, t-shirts, stickers, and whimsy.
